Earlier this month we talked about the importance of staying hydrated in your hot tub, but what about your skin? Hydration is more than just what you put inside of your body, your surface needs to be hydrated too! As soothing as it is to soak in your Dream Maker Spa, the mix of hot water and chemicals can dry out skin.

The first step in warding off dryness is to check the temperature of your hot tub; it is best to keep the water no higher than 102 degrees. The higher the heat, the more likely you are to dry out your skin.

After you’re done with your soak, take a lukewarm shower to rinse away the chlorine. Remember to pat your skin dry, rubbing can cause irritation to already dry skin.

The final step is to lather up on lotion. We suggest applying moisturizer when skin is still slightly damp to lock in all its moisturizing benefits.

By following these steps you can ensure that not only will you feel rejuvenated after your soak, but your skin will too!
