Congratulations! You’re the new owner of a beautiful Dream Maker Spa – now what? Buying the hot tub was the first step in your journey to relaxation, but do you know how to properly maintain and set up your newest purchase? Before you call up all of your friends to brag and plan a party, here are some helpful tips for beginners.

Familiarize
I know it’s probably the last thing you want to do, but it is important to read the owners manual and familiarize yourself with the make and model, how the filters and heating modes work, and the overall layout of your new hot tub.

Cover
Your cover is key when it comes to maintaining your hot tub. Your cover not only protects the hot tub from debris, but also helps keep the water temperature consistent. Lucky for you, your hot tub came with a quality cover that will not only protect, but also hold up against wear and tear from extreme weather conditions.

Routine
To keep your hot tub clean, it is best to start a routine cleaning schedule. We recommend cleaning the filter once a week, as well as checking the pH balance of the water. For a deeper clean, we suggest draining the water using the EZ Access Drain Valve every 3-4 months. Once the water is drained, use a gentle cloth to wipe down the shell and then refill with fresh water.

Now that you know all of the “ins and outs” of your Dream Maker Spa, its time to go and enjoy your newfound paradise!
