The leaves have fallen, and so have the temperatures. Winter can bring extreme cold and weather conditions across much of the United States and Canada – but luckily for you, you have a Dream Maker Spa to help keep you warm! Before the brutal cold and possible snow hit, take some time to prepare your hot tub by doing the following;

The first step if preparing your Dream Maker Spa for the long winter is draining the water. Pick a day that the temperature is above freezing and drain your spa using the convenient EZ Access drain valve. Once the water is fully drained, use a cloth to gently wipe down the seats and shell.

After you’re done wiping down the shell, remove the filter cartridge and thoroughly rinse with a garden hose to remove dirt and debris.

If you live in a climate where it is constantly below freezing, it is best to refer back to your Owners Manual on how to fully close and protect your hot tub for the winter. However, if you live in a milder climate, refill your spa and set to “Economy Mode” to maintain the thermostat setting. Make sure to always secure your cover once complete! Our Weather Shield Deluxe Super Seal Cover fits into a deep recessed interlock cover channel to help seal in heat all winter long.
