Placing your hot tub from Dream Maker Spas on a solid foundation is necessary so that it can maintain its shape and durability over time. Our recommended surfaces will not only provide a sturdy base for your spa, they’ll also beautifully accent your backyard oasis.

When planning for your hot tub, be sure that the area you will be placing it is level. Installing a hot tub on an uneven surface can put undue stress on the structure and internal equipment of the spa. It will also make your spa water level uneven, so that one end does not fill completely while the other is spilling over.

Decking

If you will be placing your hot tub on a deck that is already built, have the deck inspected to be sure that it can safely hold the weight of the spa plus water and bathers. Also check that your deck is not angled for drainage. If you are building a new deck, consider modern building options. HDPE decking boards are built to be weather resistant and last for years without warping or rotting from water exposure.

Concrete

Concrete can be stamped and/or stained to create a beautiful patio design. Concrete is easily formed into any shape allowing you to accommodate space restrictions and incorporate attractive curves. Steel and rebar gridding in concrete controls cracking, and sealer can keep the concrete patio beautiful for years.

Pavers, Travertine, Slate or Stone

These patio options provide a level and flat surface to hold the weight of the spa and come in a wide range of colors that let you create a truly custom spa setup. These patio options are versatile and are a low-maintenance option for a strong surface. There are professional and DIY options for pavers, travertine, slate or stone, so you will be able to plan for the best option to fit your budget and timeframe.

All of these solutions provide a solid base for your hot tub as well as a beautiful outdoor recreation area for family and friends.
